Larry Zabar
Larry Zabar is the Council’s Executive Vice President. In his current role, Larry is responsible for membership development and retention, oversight of the Council’s Annual Celebration, and planning and management of various events throughout the region, including the Capitol Hill Report series, Politics & Eggs, and other special programs.
Larry first joined the Council in 1989. Over the course of his tenure at the organization, he has led a variety of special projects and initiatives, including the Creative Economy Initiative; the New England Regional Aviation Initiative; the Older Workers Program; the “Team New England” program which brought together State officials from all six states to promote New England throughout the nation and internationally; and the “Council Fifty”, a program established to help mentor 50 companies per year interested in increasing their international trade activities
Prior to joining the Council, Larry worked on Capitol Hill for 11 years.
Larry serves on the Board of Directors of several local organizations, including the Freedom Trail Foundation, Equal Justice America, and the Northeast Arc. He is a graduate of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. Larry and his wife, Hope, live in Swampscott, Massachusetts.
