The 1L LCLD Scholars Program

For employer partners, the 1L LCLD Scholars Program builds an organization’s pipeline of diverse legal talent and demonstrates a commitment to diversity to clients or outside counsel. The program is intended to make summer programs more attractive to students and strengthen relationships with clients or outside counsel. The program is tailored to fit specific organizations, enabling them to choose their partner and design a model that works for them.

For 1L Scholars the program exposes Scholars to client business early in their careers and prepares Scholars for the culture of both law firms and corporate legal departments. It is intended to give diverse law students an edge with a unique summer experience.
