Worcester Polytechnic Institute opens new mental health resources for students
New England Council member, Worcester Polytechnic Institute officially announced the grand opening of its new Center for Well-Being. This center will extend the accessibility of mental health services to students to bolster their morale.
The new Center for Well-Being will provide students with a safe space to rest, reflect, and recover and is equipped with licensed counselors for students to confide in. According to Dean of Student Wellness, Charles Morse, “Thousands of hours of outreach and research went into designing and planning the center,” with the help of engaged students, staff, and faculty.
On the opening Interim President Winston Oluwole “Wole” Soboyejo stated that he “hopes the opening of the center signals to students that the school is not only focused on their academic success but also on their health and well-being.”
The New England Council would like to congratulate WPI on the opening of the Center for Well-Being.
