UMass Memorial Health awards $5M for 18 nonprofits in Worcester County
New England Council member, UMass Memorial Health, has awarded up to $5 million in grants to 18 Worcester County nonprofits to improve health outcomes and increase access to care for underserved residents.
UMMH’s community benefits programs, a part of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Determination of Need program, provided the grant funding.
“UMass Memorial Health’s mission as a safety net institution goes beyond providing exceptional care to patients within our hospitals to also addressing the social factors that influence the wellbeing of Central Massachusetts residents,” said Dr. Eric Dickson, president and CEO of UMMH.
The New England Council applauds UMass Memorial Health for its honorable donation.
