Steward Health Care Distributes Over $2.9 Million in Medical Supplies Donation
NEC member Steward Health Care has donated over $2.9 Million in medical supplies in the first half of 2020 alone. The medical supplies were provided to Project C.U.R.E., a nonprofit that distributes medical supplies all over the world.
This generous donation was made possible through Steward Health Care’s partnership with healthcare supply chain company Z5 Inventory. Z5 Inventory collaborated with Steward Health Care to identify and transport unused and unexpired supplies from 36 Steward Healthcare facilities across the United States. Over $3.5 Million worth of supplies have been donated by Steward Health Care since 2017.
“Our most important goal as a health care provider is fighting for a healthier world,” said Michael Prokopis, SVP of Supply Chain at Steward Health Care. “These donations are one way for us to make sure that we’re improving the health not only of our local communities, but of our global community.”
The New England Council applauds Steward Health Care for its ongoing generosity and for ensuring that vital medical supplies are not wasted. Read more from the Steward Health Care press release.
