This year, New England Council member, Roxbury Community College, will be celebrating its 50th anniversary, ushering in a year-long celebration featuring the “pioneers” of the school.

To properly celebrate the college’s 50th anniversary, Roxbury Community College will be opening a year-long exhibit, highlighting individuals who have made irreplaceable contributions to the school’s success. These individuals will include founding faculty members, important business partners, and prominent families. The main goal of this display is to both commend the hardworking individuals who have influenced the institution and to also draw attention to the benefits and importance of community college and affordable higher education.

“Community colleges offer more affordable opportunities for higher education, and I hope one day these intuitions will go tuition-free,” said Michael Dukakis, former Governor of Massachusetts.
