Northeastern University partners with British education firm
New England Council member, Northeastern University, is partnering with the British Education Firm, Multiverse, to launch an apprenticeship program for students seeking a career in applied analytics. This will be Multiverse’s first higher education partnership since opening its first U.S. office in 2021 in New York.
Though Northeastern University is celebrated for its distinguished co-op program, this new initiative will adopt a different approach, inspired by a successful model from Britain. The key distinction is the duration of the apprenticeship, extending to 12 months, in contrast to the typical 6-month Northeastern co-op. Additionally, students will receive financial compensation for their work in this program, all the while accruing credits towards their bachelor’s degree.
Multiverse’s Vice President of Learning, Rebecca Agostino, said that Northeastern was chosen due to its reputation for promoting experiential learning. “Northeastern is such an industry leader in connecting learning with application,” she said.
The New England Council would like to congratulate Northeastern University for this new partnership.
