Medidata, a Dassault Systemes company and Sanofi Vaccines strengthen partnership to enhance patient focus and trial productivity

New England Council members Dassault Systemes and Sanofi, announced a collaboration that will harness the Medidata eCOA for vaccine studies. The Medidata eCOA has revolutionized how data is gathered from patients, physicians, and caregivers.

Sanofi’s partnership with eCOA aims to streamline vaccine studies by developing a specialized eDiary library, enhancing study preparation speed, efficiency, and data accuracy while simplifying patient usage. Having successfully tested eCOA in pilot studies, which showed high patient compliance and data reliability, Sanofi is now expanding its use across its vaccine trial pipeline, optimizing patient experiences by minimizing the need for on-site visits and enabling real-time, remote data submission.

“Expanding our collaboration with Medidata will enable us to improve our clinical development processes as we seek to deliver breakthrough vaccines to patients,” said the global head of clinical data management at Sanofi Vaccines. “Through a bespoke eDiary library, we can optimize eDiary set-up and improve data quality in current trials, while moving deeper into the digitalization era within the pharma industry.”

This collaboration follows a decade-long partnership between Sanofi and Medidata, leveraging Medidata’s data-gathering solutions across the organization for its clinical and vaccine trials.

The New England Council commends these companies for their partnership and commitment to delivering breakthrough vaccines to patients,
