Mass General Brigham collaborates with UAE
New England Council member, Mass General Brigham, has announced a collaboration with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and UAE-based environmental management company, Beeah Group, with plans to build the Jawaher Boston Medical District in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
By utilizing medical expertise from the Boston area, the goal of this joint project is to create a “healthcare ecosystem of the future.”. While it includes the creation of a new hospital, care will be provided in homes, schools and communities as well. Furthermore, this medical district will specialize in care for lifestyle medicine and prevention, oncology, women’s health, pediatrics, cardiovascular, neurosciences, behavioral health and rehabilitation medicine.
“We have an opportunity to advise how to deliver crucial, high-quality health care to the people of Sharjah in the areas where it’s most needed, further elevating the quality of life,” said a spokesperson from Mass General Brigham. “Mass General Brigham and Dana-Farber will provide knowledge and expertise while simultaneously learning valuable lessons from our global colleagues as this new entity goes forward.”
The New England Council commends Mass General Brigham for their commitment to globalized and effective healthcare options.
