Gov. Sununu backs cutting New Hampshire’s gas, other taxes due to inflation
Gov. Chris Sununu is backing cutting New Hampshire’s gas and other taxes because of inflation.
He talked about the cuts during a New England council event Thursday morning.
“If the legislature today wanted to propose a gas tax cut, I am on it. If they want to cut the rooms and meals tax, I am on it. Something might be temporary, but something just to spur what’s happening,” Sununu said.
While Sununu did say the Ukraine invasion made things worse, he said inflation was already a problem because of policies put in place by Washington.
