Fallon sent 24K winter-health care packages
New England Council member, Fallon Health, has sent out 24,000 care packages to members covered under the insurance company’s Fallon Medicare Plus and NaviCare plans. This is the second year that Fallon has sent care packages to its members according to a press release earlier this month.
These care packages were sent to members in December of 2021, during a time when “illnesses and social isolation tend to spike.” The packages included items like hand sanitizer, tissues, a fleece-lined winter hat, a puzzle book, and a Flu vaccine tip sheet. With these care packages, Fallon aimed “not only to provide health items, but helpful items to help stave off the winter blues.”
When speaking on the intention of these care package deliveries, Dr. David Brumley, vice president of medical affairs and interim chief medical officer for Fallon, stated “The majority of our Fallon Medicare Plus membership, and all of our NaviCare membership, is 65 and older, and so we wanted to provide them with some tools to keep them safe.”
The New England Council commends Fallon Health for its delivery of care packages aimed to keep its members safe and healthy during Flu season.
