Comcast sets out to equip 100 small businesses in Greater Boston with aid packages

New England Council member, Comcast, announced it is relaunching its RISE program for small businesses in Greater Boston. Beginning Thursday, May 1, Boston-based, eligible small businesses can apply for a Comcast RISE grant package, which will provide direct support for entrepreneurial growth and investment to these recipients.
Comcast initially launched this program in 2020 to help small businesses navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, but years later, many businesses are still facing challenging times. Comcast is revamping its RISE program to help small businesses acquire new computer and cable equipment, cybersecurity services, commercial time, coaching sessions, and online entrepreneurship courses. Also included in the package is a $5,000 monetary grant.
“This was like really getting an award for a family. It was a very personal thing, a sense of enormous pride for all the folks who work [for Comcast] in New England. We can’t wait to kick it off,” said Carolyne Hannan, senior vice president for Comcast’s New England region.
The New England Council commends Comcast for this assistance, which will benefit many Boston businesses.
