Clark University to host panel on voter participation
On May 2, New England Council member, Clark University, will be hosting a panel through its MPA Senior Leadership Program on the topic of “Elevating Local Democracy through Voter Participation”. The panel will feature guest speakers from across various sectors involved in civic engagement and local governance. The panelists will speak on their perspectives and strategies concerning voter participation.
The panel will be moderated by Joe O’Brien, Political and Legislative Director at the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters. The panelists will include Angela Holmes, Assistant City Administrator and City Clerk at the City of Westbrook, ME; Corey Parent, a Policy Advocate in St. Albans, VT.; Claire Robbins, Assistant City Clerk of Worcester, MA, and Casey McDermott, a Senior Reporter at NPR in New Hampshire. The event will take place from 12-1:30 p.m. at The Venue at Portswalk, Portsmouth, NH. Lunch and validated parking will be provided. Registration closes on April 26th.
