Beth Israel Lahey Health announces new Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer
New England Council member, Beth Israel Lahey Health, announced the appointment of Dr. Robert Fields as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer.
Formerly, Fields served as Chief Population Health Officer for Mount Sinai Health System in New York. In addition, he helped create Mission Health Partners, one of the first accountable care organizations in North Carolina, and Vista Family Health, a primary care practice focused on Latino healthcare. At Beth Israel Lahey, Fields will be overseeing primary care, behavioral services and continuing care organizations, while also accounting for system-wide departments, including quality, emergency management, infection prevention, credentialing and the virtual transfer center.
“I am excited to join Beth Israel Lahey Health and bring my expertise in clinical care to this new role,” Fields said in a release. “BILH is a leader in community-based care, and I look forward to working with the talented clinicians across the system to ensure every patient receives excellent and equitable care.”
