Bank of America to sponsor the Boston Marathon
New England Council member, Bank of America, announced a 10-year deal to become the new sponsor of the Boston Marathon beginning in 2024. The event will be renamed “The Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America”.
Micael Chamberlain, President of Bank of America Massachusetts, said that the bank has experience on “how to engage and how to deliver for the community” through sponsoring the Chicago Marathon since 2008. This deal is the most recent in several corporate sponsorships for sports and entertainment events in the area.
“Starting in 2024, Bank of America will partner with us to grow, broaden and innovate new pathways in running, for running for Boston, not only with the Boston Marathon, but in all that we do our other events and programming,” said Jack Fleming, President and CEO of the Boston Athletic Association. “We’ll work together growing the social, economic and inclusive benefits for local businesses, neighborhoods and communities from the mile to the marathon.”
The New England Council congratulates Bank of America for this new sponsorship.
