Babson College appoints new provost
New England Council member, Babson College, has chosen Ariel C. Armony to be the school’s new provost.
Armony has a background in higher education and global affairs. He served as the director of the University Center for International Studies at Pitt and helped the university achieve a national resource center designation from the U.S. Department of Education. Prior to his role at Pitt, he led the Institute for Advanced Study of the Americas at the University of Miami.
Armony will be the first official provost of the college and will begin his position by the middle of the upcoming fall semester.
Armony’s experience “positions him well to lead Babson’s global approach to educating the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders,” said Babson’s president, Stephen Spinelli Jr.
