The New England Council’s popular Congressional Roundtable series offers New England Council members the opportunity to hear from and interact with members of the New England Congressional delegation in a small group setting, usually over breakfast or lunch. Throughout the year, the Council hosts Congressional Roundtables in all six New England states, featuring nearly every member of the region’s House and Senate delegations.
In recent years, the Council has expanded the Congressional Roundtable series to include members of Congress from beyond the New England states as they visit our region. The Council recognizes that while it is important for our members to have strong relationships with members of the New England delegation, it can be equally important for them to connect with leaders from other parts of the country who are working on issues of importance to our region and the economy at large.
Members of Congress update Council members on recent and upcoming activities on Capitol Hill, and brief guests on their legislative priorities for the region. The events are well attended by a wide array of Council members are therefore also an excellent networking opportunity.
