Velcro Welcomes New Head of R&D

New England Council member Velcro recently welcomed Dr. Charles White to their team as the Head of Research and Development.

White comes to Velcro from Gillette where he was the head of razor blades R&D and engineering. White has both bachelors and master’s degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, also a New England Council member. At Velcro, White manages 54 people and has already added 10 new positions. The research and development team works on developing new applications for Velcro products, and refines how the products are manufactured.

In an interview with the Union Leader, White stated, “One of my goals is to make this the go-to workplace for engineers and scientists here in New Hampshire.”
