UMass Memorial Medical Center Makes List for 100 Best American Hospitals

UMass Memorial Medical Center, a Council member, has been recognized as one of the top 100 hospitals in the United States by the website Healthgrades.com. According to the site, 73% of patients at UMass Memorial would definitely recommend the hospital, and 79% of patients said that doctors always listened to them and explained things well.

Within the top 100, UMass Memorial has been recognized as being in the top 2% in the nation for delivering clinical quality year-over-year based on an analysis of risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for common procedures and conditions. Additionally, the hospital received awards for Critical Care Excellence, General Surgery Excellence, Gastrointestinal Care Excellence, and several more that indicate accomplishments in cardiac care.

The New England Council congratulates UMass Memorial for these achievements and for setting a great standard for medical care in New England.
