UMass Medical Strengthens Partnership with Trinity College Dublin
The University of Massachusetts Medical School, an NEC member, recently signed a deal with Trinity College Dublin to strengthen their long-standing collaboration. Trinity College Dublin is a noted research institution located in Dublin, Ireland.
As Trinity College’s President explained in a recent speech in Boston, the new deal will allow for student exchanges and postdoctoral fellow training in biomedical research. The partnership will also encourage the development of collaborative research and education initiatives. The two colleges have long been involved in research collaborations and joint grants in the field of innate immunity.
“Our partnership with Trinity College Dublin best exemplifies the type of academic partnerships we hope to enter into, and we very much look forward to a long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationship,” said UMass Medical Chancellor Dr. Michael F. Collins.
The New England Council congratulates UMass Medical on this international partnership and its dedication to providing students with extensive research opportunities.
