Turkish Airlines Approved for TSA Pre-Check Program
New England Council member Turkish Airlines was recently approved for the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Pre-Check expedited screening program.
The TSA’s Pre-Check program allows low-risk travelers to go through a faster, more efficient screening process at the airport that doesn’t require travelers to remove shoes, laptops, liquids, belts, or light jackets. Travelers traveling on either domestic, connecting flights or international flights departing from U.S. airports can apply for the program and, if accepted, use TSA Pre-Check security lanes when traveling on any of the 37 approved airlines. Turkish Airlines is one of the latest airlines to be approved, along with Singapore Airlines, Swift Air, Copa Airlines, InterCaribbean Airways, and Dominican Wings.
“The comfort and convenience of our passengers is the first priority for Turkish Airlines. Through this collaboration we are constantly striving to create a smooth and comfortable flying experience for them,” said Bilal Eksi, Turkish Airlines Deputy Chairman and CEO. “TSA Pre-Check is a highly reputable program which always works with the leading airlines in the world. We are confident that this new agreement will support us in further enhancing the overall quality of our ground handling services to our passengers depart from U.S.”
The New England Council congratulates Turkish Airlines for the announcement of this new agreement with the TSA Pre-Check program that will provide greater convenience to Turkish Airline flyers. Read more in a press release from the TSA and USA Today.
