Latest Episode Looks at Boston’s Olympic Bid

DCD On Set Dan O'Connell Sept 2014

Tune in this Sunday morning for the latest episode of DC Dialogue on New England Cable News.  This month, Jim Brett, John Hailer, and Eileen Curran discuss Boston’s bid to host the Olympic Games, Governor Patrick’s recent trade mission, and casinos in New England.

In the first segment, Jim, John, and Eileen are joined by Dan O’Connell, President of the Boston 2024 Partnership, the organization leading the effort to bring the 2024 Olympic Games to Boston.  O’Connell highlights why Boston is well positioned to host the games, the key challenges as the bid process proceeds, and the impact the games would have in Boston and throughout New England.

Later in the show, John Hailer recounts his experience as a participant in Governor Deval Patrick’s recent trade mission to Denmark, France, and the United Kingdom.  Jim and John also discuss the latest developments on casino gaming in Massachusetts, and the economic impact that casinos will continue to have in New England.
