The Hill Names Licy Do Canto a Top Lobbyist of 2016
The Hill newspaper recently named Licy Do Canto of the Do Canto Group, a NEC member, as one of Washington, DC’s top lobbyists of the year. This is the sixth year in a row the paper has recognized Do Canto.
Do Canto, the founder and president of the Do Canto Group, is a Boston native who for the past two decades has made a name as one of the leading experts on healthcare policy and regulation. He served as the director of federal affairs at the National Association of Community Health Centers where he founded both the Partnership for Medicaid and the Partnership for Primary Care, both of which are national coalitions of key organizations working to improve Medicaid and healthcare. In addition, Do Canto served as CEO of the AIDS Alliance for Children, Youth and Families, which is a leader in HIV/AIDS advocacy and prevention. At the Do Canto Group, he has represented a number of clients including AARP, First Focus, the New York State Health Foundation, and the Nurse Family Partnership.
In this year’s “Top Lobbyists” article The Hill says, “Do Canto brings two decades of Washington experience to the table when fighting for public health initiatives.”
The New England Council congratulates Licy Do Canto on this recognition and for his continued leadership in healthcare policy advocacy. Read the full list of top lobbyists in The Hill and read more about Do Canto here.
