TD Bank’s Charitable Foundation Awards Grant for Maine Veterans
New
England Council member TD Bank has announced that its charitable arm, TD
Charitable Foundation, is granting $5,000 to the organization Easterseals to
support care coordination and emergency assistance to veterans in Maine. As
veterans make up around 10% of Maine’s population, the impacts of this support will
be widespread.
The
TD Charitable Foundation was established in 2002, and has since distributed
more than $199 million and more than 19,400 grants through donations to local
nonprofits. This grant to Easterseals Military and Veterans Services help the
organization meet the emergency needs of veterans facing hardships by combining
emergency financial assistance for immediate crises with longer-term,
individualized care coordination services.
Steve
Webb, Market President of TD Bank, said, “At TD, we celebrate the dedication of
all military personnel for their bravery and commitment to their country, so we
are honored to partner with Easterseals in providing them support.”
The Council applauds the support that TD Bank is providing to veterans in Maine, and for assisting those who have sacrificed for their country and community.
