TD Bank Loans $18 Million to MSPCA for Emergency Medical Space

Council member TD Bank has agreed to provide the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals with $18 million in a loan to fund the Jamaica Plain site’s construction of new medical space.

MSPCA-Angell, the site receiving the loan, will utilize it to expand the site’s critical care unit, as well as its medical boarding department. The funds will almost double the facility’s space, which has seen a more than doubling of its annual caseload since opening more than 30 years ago. In turn, the expansion is expected to significantly increase the center’s abilities to treat emergency animal cases.

“The MSPCA-Angell is a well-respected organization that provides crucial services to our communities,” Bayard said. “TD Bank is proud to be able to help Angell Animal Medical Center expand and make sure animals receive great care.”

The New England Council congratulates TD Bank on continuing to invest in its community. Read more in the Boston Business Journal.
