T.F. Green Airport Announces Frontier Airlines Expansion

NEC member Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) recently announced that Frontier Airlines will begin offering flights from T.F. Green Airport beginning in August.

Frontier Airlines is a U.S. airline based in Denver, Colorado, that operates throughout the United States, Mexico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. Frontier Airlines will offer flights from T.F. Green to both Denver, Colorado, and Orlando, Florida, beginning on August 14. T.F. Green is the only airport in New England that Frontier will fly to and RIAC officials reported that Denver has been a highly requested destination for the airport to connect to.

“We are pleased to welcome Frontier Airlines to T. F. Green Airport (PVD) with these two popular routes,” said RIAC President and CEO Iftikhar Ahmad. “Our business and leisure passengers continually request Denver service, and now they will be able to fly nonstop to Colorado from our airport.  The Orlando service provides yet another option for our customers to fly to our top market from Green.  We look forward to a great partnership between Frontier and PVD.”

The New England Council congratulates RIAC for the new airline and offered destinations out of T.F. Green, which will expand travel options for New England residents. Read more in Go Local Prov and The Providence Journal.
