Sunday on DC Dialogue: NIH funding and its impact in New England
Tune in this Sunday morning for the latest episode of DC Dialogue. This month, Kristy Lee, Jim Brett, and John Hailer explore the impact that sequestration cuts to NIH funding would have in the New England region.
In the first segment, we talk with Dr. Michael Collins, the Chancellor of UMass Medical School in Worcester about the lifesaving research that his being done at UMass and a number of other institutions throughout New England, and the impact of possible NIH funding cuts on that important work and on our region’s economy.
In the second segment, Jim and John offer their thoughts on President Obama’s inaugural address and priorities for his second term, and discuss the economic outlook for the year ahead.
