In a wide ranging conversation, Marcy explains some of the factors behind New England’s high energy costs, and the need for upgraded and expanded energy infrastructure.  She also discusses National Grids recent decision to terminate its contract with Cape Wind, and the role solar and hydro energy can play in our region.

Later in the show, Jim and John share their reactions to President Obama’s State of the Union Address, and discuss the latest developments in Boston’s bid to host the 2024 Olympic Games.
