BU Experts on the Job Market for Recent Grads; Mass Tech Collaborative CEO on Middle East Trade Mission

This month, Jim Brett and Eileen Curran discuss talk about the job market for recent graduates with two career development experts at NEC member Boston University, and learn more about Governor Deval Patrick’s recent trade mission.
In the first segment, Jim and Eileen are joined by Kimberly Del Gizzo, Director of the Boston University Center for Career Development, and Fiona Hornblower, Assistant Dean for Career Development & Public Service at the Boston University School of Law. Del Gizzo and Hornblower discuss the job prospects for recent graduates, both undergraduates and those earning advanced degrees. We also talk about how universities work with employers to ensure that students are well-prepared to join the 21st century workforce.
Later in the show, Pamela Goldberg, CEO of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative–a Council member–joins us to recap Governor Deval Patrick’s recent trade mission to Israel and the United Arab Emirates. Goldberg, who was part of the delegation traveling with the Governor, highlights some of the positive developments that have already resulted from the trade mission.
