SNHU Pairs with Major League Soccer in New Education Program
Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), a New England Council member, has teamed with Major League Soccer (MLS) in a program that will allow professional soccer players to pursue higher education and provide university students with internship opportunities with MLS.
The new partnership makes SNHU the ‘exclusive educational partner’ of MLS and will provide the league with 125 scholarships for the next 3 years. In addition, MLS will provide SNHU students with six internships as well as online internships. The agreement also includes community initiatives supporting local youth, charities, and the military.
“We are excited to partner with an organization that shares our passion for providing accessible, affordable, high quality education. Partnering with MLS will allow us to meet students where they are and show them that higher education is within their reach,” announced SNHU President Paul LeBlanc.
The New England Council commends SNHU and MLS on their inventive partnership.
