New England Council member Shields Health Care Group is planning to expand their services to New Hampshire and Maine over the next two years. Shields is a Quincy-based company that is known for its MRI services. The company is planning on opening two new centers in Massachusetts and at least four more in New Hampshire and Maine over the next two years.
Shields currently operates 43 outpatient centers in Massachusetts. The company has long been dedicated to creating an efficient system for patients to utilize their services. The expansion of their centers is part of their goal to make a stronger impact in the marketplace. The expansion process involves Shield partnering with hospitals to help keep imaging prices reasonable.
Tom Shields, CEO of Shields Health Care Group, stated, “We believe patients are looking for greater value in the future, and we think we can lead the market in value. We think that’s where the market is going.”
The New England Council congratulates Shields on their New England expansion efforts.
