On February 7, 2017, The New England Council will present the second forum in its “New England Innovates” series. “New England Innovates: Preparing the Innovation Economy Workforce” will explore the critical role that our region’s institutions of higher education play in preparing the next generation innovation economy workforce. We will discuss the challenges institutions face in meeting the needs of the region’s employers and the importance of collaboration between colleges and universities and the business community to best develop the region’s talent pipeline.
The forum will be hosted by NEC member Boston University at their Photonics Center, located at 8 St. Mary’s Street in Boston, from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m.
The New England Council launched “New England Innovates” series in the fall of 2016 as a periodic series that will explore challenges and opportunities for the region’s thriving innovation economy. The first event was held in October 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and focused on innovation in the healthcare sector.
