This summer, after nearly a quarter of a century of leadership, New Hampshire’s longest acting college president, Father Jonathan DeFelice, O.S.B., is set to retire. Following Father DeFelice’s remarkable 24 years of service, Dr. Steven R. DiSalvo has been tapped to lead Saint Anselm College, and NEC member.
In a formal announcement last week, college officials welcomed DiSalvo as the new President. Dr. DiSalvo comes to Saint Anselm College from Marian University in Wisconsin, where he has served as president since 2010. Prior to Marian University, DiSalvo was the president and founder of The Hopewell Group, Inc., and earlier served as as the Chief Operating Officer of Junior Achievement of New York Inc., which inspires K-12 students to be successful by providing business education using volunteer role models. He also served as the Executive Director of the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation, which works to educate and end the cycle of domestic violence as well.
The New England Council thanks Father Jonathan DeFelice for his years of service to Saint Anselm and his unwavering support for the Council over the years! The Council would also like to extend a warm welcome to Dr. DiSalvo and congratulate him on his exciting new position!
