Rasky Baerlein Expands Washington Presence

NEC member Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications, a Boston-based communications and public relations firm, has significantly increased its Washington, DC, footprint through the recent merger with Prism Public Affairs.   Recognizing that Washington plays a major role in the New England economy, Rasky Baerlein sought to expand in DC in order to have a closer connection to the legislation and regulation enacted there, enabling the firm to  better service their clients. Prism’s expertise in policy issues campaigns will allow the newly combined firm to expand the services they offer to their client base.

“By combining Rasky Baerlein and Prism, we are creating an exceptional team with the experience and insight into how government, business and the media interact in Washington and beyond,” said Larry Rasky, CEO and chairman of Rasky Baerlein.

Rasky Baerlein President and NEC board member Joe Baerlein noted that the firms will also combine their leading-edge digital public affairs and communications services. “Both firms have built sophisticated digital communications programs for Fortune 500 companies, trade associations and non-profit organizations,” Baerlein said.

As a result of the merger, Rasky Baerlin’s team will increase to a combined total of 55 professionals in DC and Boston. The new firm is becomes one of the top 25 independent public relations firms in the country by revenue For the next three months the new firm will operate under the name Rasky Baerlein|Prism, at which time it will return to Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications.
