PwC and “Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children” Celebrated for Philanthropic Partnership
NEC member PwC and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) were recently named 2018 Partners of the Year by the Boston Business Journal. The Partners of the Year award commemorates companies that have developed specific partnerships with nonprofits at any level of engagement, from volunteer work to donations. PwC, MSPCC, and other honorees were feted at a recent event at Fenway Park in Boston.
PwC’s partnership with MSPCC dates back to 1991. To supplement the MSPCC’s clinical services and training services for foster parents, PwC has donated a total of $240,000 over the years. Beyond the financial support, PwC employees also actively volunteer with the organization. From buying and wrapping Christmas presents for kids to providing consulting services, PwC employees demonstrate a clear commitment to giving back to their communities.
PwC partner and Northeast advisory leader Michael Quinlan stated that “It’s fair, and a little corny, to say that while I put a lot of time into (MSPCC), I really do get more out of it. The MSPCC speaks for those who can’t speak for themselves, children, and that’s very gratifying to me and others. We know we’re having an impact.”
The New England Council congratulates PwC on this award, and commends it on its sustained commitment to philanthropy.
