Putnam CEO Offers Retirement Savings Recommendations in New Book
Robert Reynolds, CEO of Putnam Investments, a NEC member, recently released a book on retirement savings, “From Here to Security: How Workplace Savings Can Keep America’s Promise.”
The book outlines Reynold’s proposals to improve retirement savings, including making Social Security solvent, significantly expanding the availability of 401(k) and other retirement savings plans, and ensuring that enrollment in plans is the default option for American workers. He develops each point and admits that although this is not a one size-fits-all solution for all Americans, it would benefit the working class and businesses.
“When individuals are given the tools to save for retirement, they’re not only securing their futures, they’re fueling the capital markets that drive our economy. As one of the pioneers of workplace retirement savings, Bob Reynolds has dedicated his career to giving consumers those tools and strengthening the economy for all of us,” stated Tom Donohue, the President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The New England Council congratulates Robert Reynolds on the release of his book and thanks him for his valued insights. Learn more about From Here to Security.
