Proctor & Gamble (P&G), a Council member, has a new chief communications officer.
Damon Jones will replace Craig Buchholz and work to uphold P&G’s reputation as a steadfast company. Jones has worked closely with the company’s chief brand officer to shape the company’s messaging and image, especially as a leader in advertising advocacy around issues such as gender and racial equality. And as the company navigates changing dynamics in global and local markets, Jones assumes an important role at a critical time. Jones previously served on The New England Council’s Board of Directors.
“I’m humbled with the responsibility to carry on this tradition, especially in the midst of our current challenges,” Jones said. “Trust in brands and companies has never been more important. Communications plays a huge role in helping shape what we do and how we do it in a way that fosters this trust with critically important stakeholders.”
