Passenger Traffic Increases Overall at T.F. Green in 2016

The Rhode Island Airport Corporation, an NEC member, recently announced that passenger traffic at T.F. Green Airport has increased 2.4% more in 2016 as compared to 2015.

The total passenger traffic for 2016 was 3,653,029 travelers compared to 3,566,105 passengers in 2015. For the busy month of December, United Airlines reported the greatest percentage increase of any airline flying out of T.F. Green, with a 3.9 percent increase compared to December 2015. Southwest Airlines and American Airlines also reported increases in passengers compared to 2015.

Peter Frazier, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of R.I. Airport Corp., said, “We’re very excited with the strong demand.”
