Olin College to Host Documentary Screening

Olin College of Engineering, a NEC member, will be hosting a screening of the new documentary Beyond Measure, the latest from filmmaker Vicki Abeles, known for her 2009 film Race to Nowhere.

Beyond Measure examines educational innovation taking place at schools throughout the country. It focusses on different student-centered approaches to learning being employed at more and more schools, including Olin, which was founded in 1997 by the F.W. Olin Foundation to provide a new student-centered approach to engineering education. In 2016, U.S. News and World Report ranked Olin the 3rd Best Undergraduate Engineering program in the country. After the screening, there will be a panel discussion focused on the education solutions seen in the movie, as well as those being employed at Olin.

Details about the screening are below. Those interested in attending can get more information on Olin’s website and can register for free here.
