New Member Spotlight: Ultra Electronics

Ultra Electronics “manages a portfolio of specialist capabilities, generating highly-differentiated solutions and products in the defense & aerospace, security & cyber, transport and energy markets, by applying electronic and software technologies in demanding and critical environments to meet customer needs.” Ultra Electronics provides its customers with uniquely tailored products and services in an agile manner that is typically more characteristic of a smaller business.

Ultra Electronics is comprised of 23 business units that operate throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada and has three major divisions: Aerospace and Infrastructure, Communications, and Security. Ultra’s wide ranging expertise allows it to provide its clients with system and sub-system solutions that enhance their own ability to operate efficiently and thrive. For example, Ultra “is a world-leading supplier of tactical communication equipment and systems that enable the provision of accurate and timely data across the battlefield,” which enables clients like the Department of Defense to improve their operations across multiple planes.

Ultra takes pride in its workforce development programs and is “committed to developing people and securing the talent pipeline to ensure the continued growth and success of the Group.” Ultra achieves this goal by partnering with local schools, establishing apprenticeship programs, and helping to encourage students to focus on STEM Education and working in related fields.

The New England Council welcomes Ultra Electronics as one of our newest members and we look forward to their active participation in our Technology Committee and Defense Working Group.
