New Member ABBYY Provides Language Services to Businesses Worldwide
The New England Council was pleased to recently welcome new member ABBYY Language Solutions (ALS). ALS provides comprehensive language support to corporate customers worldwide and works to address complex translation projects using innovative language technology. ALS has collaborated with more than 5,000 companies worldwide, including some TOP 100 Global Brands and Fortune 500s.
The company entered the US market in 2012 upon buying US-based Connective Language Solutions, a purchase that increased ALS’s productive capacity and expanded its service offerings in the North American market. This year, ALS bolstered its position in the US market by merging with Emporium Linguae, another translation company. The merger “allowed [ALS] to get involved into large, technologically challenging translation and localization projects,” according to Andrey Egorov, Senior Vice President of ALS.
ALS develops cutting-edge linguistic solutions designed to streamline multilingual content maintenance for its clients. Alongside building the application program interface (API) connector for streamlining website localization and creating an in-house ERP system to manage translation projects, the company has also consolidated all proprietary products and services on a single cloud-based platform. It also launched the first-ever cloud translation service for Xerox® and created a specialized cloud solution for crowdsourced translation.
ALS is the largest translation company in Russia and among the 50 the largest language service providers in the world. Working with all language pairs and subjects, the company has over 60,000 translators and 10,000 interpreters.
