New Hampshire College and University Council Celebrates 50th Anniversary

The New Hampshire College and University Council (NHCUC), a New England Council member, is celebrating its 50th anniversary later this month with a proclamation from Governor Maggie Hassan.

A non-profit consortium of public and private higher education institutions from throughout New Hampshire, NHCUC has worked to advance higher education in the state since 1966.

“We’re a relatively unique higher education consortium in that we are statewide and both public and private institutions are members,” said CEO Thomas Horgan. “The fact we’ve been at it for 50 years is a testament to the collaborative nature of our institutions and the collaborative nature of New Hampshire.”

NHCUC will be celebrating its anniversary throughout the year with the proclamation from Governor Hassan, a recognition from the New Hampshire congressional delegation, in addition to other events.

The New England Council congratulates the NHCUC its 50th anniversary, and appreciates the organization’s work to promote higher education in the region.
