New England Businesses Honored by EPA for Energy Efficiency Achievements

New England Council members Beacon Capital Partners, Eversource Energy, and National Grid were among twelve New England organizations recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Energy (DOE) for their outstanding energy efficiency achievements.

Beacon Capital Partners was named Partner of the Year for Sustained Excellence in Energy Management. The EPA and DOE named Beacon Capital Partners for the company’s work to raise awareness amongst stakeholders, including tenants and management, as well as implement energy efficiency measures across the commercial space Beacon Capital owns and operates. Eversource was recognized for the company’s work through Energize Connecticut, a state-wide energy efficiency initiative Eversource participates in. National Grid RI was named Partner of the Year for the company’s Energy Efficiency Program Delivery, while National Grid MA was given the Excellence Award for ENERGY STAR Promotion.

In a statement, the EPA’s said that these businesses were honored “for their commitment to saving energy, saving money, and protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency achievements.”

The New England Council congratulates Beacon Capital Partners, Eversource, and National Grid on the awards and thanks the companies for their investments in energy efficiency projects across New England. The companies will be formally presented with the awards at an event on April 26.Read more in a press release from the EPA .
