NEHI Event on Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs
The Network for Excellence in Health Innovation (NEHI) will be hosting an event on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, to discuss prescription drug monitoring programs. The forum will feature several speakers, including keynote speaker Monica Bharel, MD, PhD, who is the Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Health. Dr. Bharel will be joined by many distinguished members of the medical field. They will discuss how states can expand the use of Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMPs) and the role of physicians in expanded programs. The speakers will also explain the current state of PDMPs and the effects they have on physicians and patients.
