NEC Outlines Regional Priorities as Congress Considers 4th Round of COVID Relief

As Congress considers a fourth round of federal relief and economic stimulus legislation in response to the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis, The New England Council sent a letter to each member of the region’s Congressional delegation outlining top priorities for the New England business community.  A letter sent to all New England Senators and Representatives on April 24, 2020, highlighted priorities in four categories, including support for vulnerable individuals and families, broad economic assistance, support for the healthcare sector, and aid for other impacted industries.

The letter was developed based on significant feedback from Council members throughout the region and across a wide array of industries. The Council will continue to monitor the rapidly evolving situation and the needs of our members, and will continue to advocate for relief that will benefit the region’s economy as a whole. We encourage NEC members to contact our staff with any suggestions or feedback on what types of relief would be most useful.
