This is the second year the Worcester Business Journal has compiled the list. The paper asks its readers, who are mostly business leaders, to nominate businesses in Central Massachusetts which excelled in delivering a wide variety of goods and services. From late October to mid December, responses from over 1,600 readers poured into the website. Readers were required to respond to at least 10 of the 39 categories.
Editor Rick Saia said in the list’s preface that the list was intended to be a “fun way to recognize many deserving area companies and have their employees celebrate in that success.” He added, “Since our readership is made up chiefly of business leaders, it sees things differently than would a general-interest readership, which we hope adds value to the results we’re sharing in this issue.”
The New England Council applauds its members for their excellent service.
