NEC Enters Strategic Partnership with Commerce Department
New Resources for Increasing Exports, Accessing Foreign Markets for NEC Members
The New England Council is pleased to announce that we have entered into an agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce that will assist our members in accessing foreign markets and increasing exports. As a strategic partner to the U.S Commercial Service’s New Market Exporter Initiative (NMEI), New England Council members will have access to a wide range of Commerce Department resources and expertise. This partnership is part of the Obama Administration’s initiative to promote American-made goods and services across the globe.
As a strategic partner to the U.S. Commercial Service, we are able to offer our members:
Expert advice on new export markets
Access to free online market research reports
Opportunities for export training
Access to U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service worldwide network
Expert advice, local contacts and market intelligence from specialists in target markets
Services to connect to local distributors and representatives
As you know, the Council has long supported expanded international trade as key to our region’s ongoing economic growth. We hope that the services and expertise offered by the U.S. Commercial Service be useful to our members who seek to access foreign markets and grow their customer base, and we’re pleased to partner with them on this innovative initiative.
