The New England Council’s Board of Directors recently elected two new Directors at its December 2016 meeting in Boston. The newly elected Board of Director members are Tim McDougald of Marsh and Theresa Pattara of Iron Mountain.
“Tim and Theresa are both experienced and respective leaders in their respective industries who will bring new ideas and perspectives to the Council’s board. I look forward to collaborating with both of them as The New England Council works toward our goals of promoting economic growth and a high quality of life in our region,” said New England Council President and CEO Jim Brett.

Tim McDougald is the Managing Director and New England Operations Leader for Marsh, a global leader in insuring broking and risk management. In his current role, Tim is responsible for Marsh’s operations in Boston, Hartford, and Portland. He started his career with Marsh in 1989 and has held various client-facing and management roles with Marsh for over 25 years. In addition to his leadership and management responsibilities, Tim has worked with clients spanning various industries including public entities, sports and entertainment, manufacturing, life science, health care, retail, and financial services. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
Theresa Pattara is Vice President, North America Government Relations for Iron Mountain, a global business dedicated to storing, protecting and managing, information and assets. In this role, Theresa leads Iron Mountain’s company-wide government engagement strategy and advocates for the company’s interests with local, state and federal agencies and policy makers. Prior to joining Iron Mountain, Theresa served as Senior Director for Public Policy & Advocacy H&R Block, Tax & Oversight Counsel to Senator Charles Grassley and the Senate Finance Committee, policy advisor at the Internal Revenue Service, and was a Senior Tax Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC. Theresa is a graduate of the University of and Georgetown University Law Center
