Minuteman Health Membership Skyrockets

New England Council member Minuteman Health recently announced that they’re membership has increased 75 percent over last year. The nonprofit HMO now covers over 25,000 people in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Minuteman’s rapid growth has occurred mainly during this year’s open enrollment period for healthcare coverage, which began November 1 and will close at the end of January. Since the beginning of open enrollment, almost 10,000 new members have joined Minuteman, and that number is expected to rise until the very end of the period. The growth in membership has exceeded the company’s expectations for the year.

“We’ve taken a long-term approach centered on managed growth, strong provider network relationships and careful financial management.  The increase in membership is a solid message that we’re on the right track. Our core business is strong,” said Minuteman CEO Thomas Policelli.

The New England Council congratulates Minuteman Health for impressive new growth.
