Manchester Airport Starts Construction on New Rental Car Center
Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, a New England Council member, has started construction on its new Rental Car Center. The project will expand the available space for all six current rental car companies at the airport.
The project is anticipated to cost $6 million, according to an airport press release. The new building, which will be located across from the terminal building, will be 10,400 square feet. Expansion in the rental care services at Manchester airport come after rental car companies requested the expansion in order to streamline their services. The project is expected to be completed in May 2016.
“We have a disproportionate high number of rented cars for a small hub airport due to limited ground transportation options and infrastructure,” explained Assistant Airport Director of Air Service Development, Marketing, and Public Relations Thomas Malafronte.
